I am so very thankful this week that our ultrasound on Friday went well. And even though I have a problem I didn't see coming (can we say hit with a Mac truck?) I am handling it rather well.
For those who haven't heard, I have complete placenta previa. That means that my entire cervix is covered by the placenta. One really good website I found about it was here so if you wanted to know more.
The good news is that 90% of women who have this condition diagnosed in the second trimester its gone by the delivery. I am going to talk more to my doctor about this at my next appointment on December 3. I just have to take it easy, try not to stress, and RELAX. I know the more I am reading about it, the more at ease I am feeling with the situation.
If what God wants is for me to have a C-section, then that is what's gonna happen, and if its his will for this placenta to move, that will happen. I am just trying to keep prepared for the worst. Know what I mean?
Oh, and one shining light I have found in all of this is that babies born to ladies with this condition seem to be smaller. YAY!!! lol.
Good luck sweetie! I'm thinking of you.
ReplyDeleteI am pulling for you. I hope it moves on it's own and you can go ahead with a normal delivery. Best of luck!
ReplyDeleteSmaller.....????!!?? You already have petite girls to begin with.
ReplyDeleteI'll be praying for you about this Betsy.
I am thinking smaller at birth, they were 7lbs 7oz and 8lbs 2oz.
ReplyDeleteyou already have small babies, girly, so I don't know what you're so excited about! goof!
ReplyDeleteThat's awesome to hear it self corrects in 90% of women. My fingers are crossed for you
