Thankful Thursday

How fitting that Thankful Thursday landed on today, New Year's Day. I can start the new year right with what I am thankful for.

As always I am thankful for my wonderful family. Although there are many things that I often complain about when it comes to my husband, he really is so wonderful. He cleans house, does an amazing job with our girls, and works not only full time but LOTS of overtime. I am eternally thankful that he picked me and now puts up with me mood swings and all. And although there is lots to whine about when it comes to my girls, they are healthy and they are thriving. You can't really ask for more than that.

I am also really thankful for my health. Its hard to be thankful when it feels like you have had the sniffles more than half the season, but overall I count myself extremely lucky not to have more serious illness. I look at some of my friends and co workers and thank God everyday that I don't have to deal with that.

Lastly I am so thankful for my extended family, my church family, and my Wal-Mart family. Its just an amazing thing to go to work, or church, and have more than one person ask you how your week was, and care what the answer is. Or remember that you were under the weather the last time you spoke, and ask you how you are feeling. I am truly blessed with so many people who genuinely care about me.

So, take the time this New Years day to not only make resolutions on what you would like to improve in the new year, but look back on the wonderful things you have been blessed with in 2008.
