I am rocking it! among other things...

I took the summer class to finish out my medical terminology trilogy, and I am doing awesome! I haven't scored less than a high B on any of my tests. But today I have my first of two pronunciation exams, so if you would keep me in your thoughts, as I am not great at leaving messages that would be great. And if that last sentence completely confused you, let me explain a little. My medical terminology classes are all online. I do my work online, I test online, and for the pronunciation exams I call my teacher's voice mail and leave her a message reciting the list of words along with my name, and the name of the class. Then later, usually a couple days, she posts my grade on my homepage for school. Pretty cool huh? This is going to be a random assortment of thoughts today as I can't seem to keep my thoughts in any order particularlly. I am getting to really think this summer is strange. We will go three or four days with HOT weather (well hot for Oregon, lol) then it will drop back down to the high sixtys again, stay that way a few days then get hot again! Its driving me bonkers. The cool is usually (but not always) combined with some rain, so that does tame the allergies a bit, but makes the heat up that much more humid and miserable. I guess I shouldn't complain, you don't know humid until you live in the south east! Natalie is still biting. She got M pretty hard on the chest (don't even ask how!) I just am getting frustrated.... I have noticed it decreasing in frequency though. That is positive! Weird question for all the mommies, what time do your children go to bed, and what time do they usually wake up? I am thinking we need to re evaluate bedtime. We have it right now at 8pm. I don't know if maybe it should be earlier. We have been slacking on the bedtime routine so Miss M decided she isn't wanting to go back to sleep, so I am locking down on that one... I guess someday they will sleep right? Maybe when they are 19?? LOL Anyone have any tips on nighttime potty training that don't involve me waking her up in the middle of the night to potty? We tried it for four nights and half that she peed and slept right thru it. I hate to have her sleeping in her pee all night... and she is the kind of kid, if I woke her up, she wouldn't go back down. UGH! But that is all we have left to learn with her... As for Miss Natalie, she's starting to get interested, I am thinking we will start late next month after we get back from camp (more about that later!) Hmmm.... I guess that is really all the randomness I had. I am sure you are all bored enough anyway. If you really are bored and have some time, check out some of the blogs on my sidebar. There is now a section for blogs with special giveaway events. For alot of them you get multiple entries just for following. So, check em out!! Oh, and one more thing, if you have children in diapers, and a costco membership, they have an awesome deal on huggies. You buy a box of diapers and a box of wipes and you get $9 off!! Ok, now, really thats all. I need to get to bed. I have work at six in the morning, and I am cheating by pre-dating this post for tomorrow! (SOOO Glad that feature is working again, I just need to get back ahead on my blogs!) Have a wonderful day today, and those in the northwest, enjoy your sunshine!

  1. randomness....lol....I'm all about randomness! I mean you have to fit your blog name from time to time right! LOL. GOOD LUCK on your test...YOu'll do great I know!

As for the potty training....how long before bed are you limiting her fluids? Usually if you limit them a couple hours before bed...it tends to make night time training easier. But that isn't the case with all kids....Sometimes it just takes longer for some to go all night. I used to babysit a girl that still had to wear pull ups at night at age 4 and 5.

  2. Good luck on your test! I hate leaving phone messages, too. That might be harder than having to actually talk to a teacher face to face! You'll do well, though, I'm sure.

I know what you mean about the crazy weather. It's been HOT here (today is supposed to be 103) but then by Monday, it's supposed to be back in the 80s. Still hot, but a 20 degree difference is noticeable. We haven't had much rain, though, and it's DRY. I'm trying not to complain too much either, though. Our backyard is in complete disarray right now, so our pool is down. I'm glad it's not such great weather becuase I'd really be missing that pool!

  3. Good luck on your test! I haven't even attempted night time training with Maya. I'm working on getting the daytime to 100% first. As for bedtimes. It's 8pm for Maya and 8:30 for Abby.
