I have been working into running with the couch2-5k program. I already am signed up for two 5k races, one in October and one in November. I started in on week five of the program today. So for day one I got to do 5 minute brisk walk followed by a 5 minute jog then a 3 minute walk, then 5 minute jog, then three minute walk, then a 5 minute jog and a 5 minute walk for cool down. That is 15 minutes of jogging! Whoot! I did it too. Didn't even think about stopping till that last five minutes! lol. Got that in about 35 minutes. That was about my fitness for today. Not too shabby, 280 calories burned! :-) I get to run a straight 20 sometime this week (day three of the program, who knows when it will take place!) The next day has me do two sets of 8 minute runs and 5 minute recoveries.
Hmmm, what else.... oh, our Vacation Bible School is this week at our church. It is so fun to get to work with the kids! It is also a blessing to see God working and showing Himself to these kids this week. We already had five girls seeking to know more about asking Him into their hearts! How amazing is that?!
After VBS today we took naps then headed over to my friends house to let the girls play in the water. I learned that it is not okay to just let the baby swim in a regular diaper, it swelled so much that it began cutting into her chunky legs! Poor Liv!
