Goal #1 - Fitness: to get in at least 365 fitness miles in 2013. Since starting my half marathon training, this one has been flying by. I am at 316 miles for the year so far. That is already 87% of my goal done and still four months of the year to go! =) In August I ran an impressive 56.7 miles! Woo hoo!
Goal #2 - Health: To lose 25 lbs in 2013. Actually did better then I thought I did this month. Down 2.4 pounds. I have had a couple really bad weekends, but am really trying to be very good during the weeks at least.
Goal #3 - Mental: To read at least one non-fiction book per month. I am still working on You are not what you weigh by Lisa Bevere. But I did read through Chi Running by Danny Dreyer. Gave me some really great things to work through to improve my running. Add that to the Galloway method of running that I am using and I think I'm doing all I can to keep myself healthy while running. I am FLYING through the non-fiction books though. I am now at 43 fiction books for the year so far, seven of those this month alone!
Goal #4 - Financial: To add to our family's savings from each paycheck. I made it up another 10% of my goal on this one. Not hitting the goal, but I am getting some in there, so that helps me feel a bit better about it. Just having a balance in that account is making me feel like I'm at least trying.
Goal #5 - Spiritual: To get into the word daily. Really, really, really dropped the ball on this one. No excuse for it. :( But I am going to start reading again. Goal for next month is to get at least two different books in the bible finished. Might use some of my early morning time for bible reading and also for my non fiction book (in this case it is a spiritually based book.)
And in continuing with my project 365 (a photo a day, every day in 2013) I am taking part in the September 365 photo challenge. You can get the list here. Today's prompt is "everywhere a sign." And here are my pics

That is awesome! You're doing great! Goals make me happy :) i like how we have the same running goal :) though I had to modify mine. I might have to check out that chi running book. What fiction have you enjoyed recently? I should add you on goodreads... :)
ReplyDeleteGreat job with your miles! When is your half marathon? You're weight loss seems to be going well. August was a up/down month for food & weight wise.
