I am thankful for this girl. On Sunday she gave her testimony and though I have known her for more years then I care to admit, it still touched me. This girl and I worked together two years at camp, the same summer I started dating Jimmy. I am constantly amazed at the woman God is molding her in to. He has taken her from the shy girl that I first met into an amazing youth pastor. I am thankful that God has put her in my life. Something she said during her testimony really touched my heart. It was about a time that she was on one of those giant rope swings, you know the ones where they pull you up really, really high and you pull the rope to release yourself and swing out (quite quickly I think). She was up at the top of the swing, and she knew that all she had to do was release that rope. She connected that moment at the top of that rope swing to every fear that she had. She had to pull that rope and let God take her through it. Not in her strength but in His. I am so very thankful for her words Sunday. I am thankful that I'm not the only girl whose eyes leak all the time. This weekend wouldn't have been the same without her there.
