Thankful Tuesday

I am blessed. I can't even begin to name all the ways I have been blessed this week. But I am going to share five things that happened this week that I am thankful for. Just a little disclaimer, there have been so many things (and people) who I have to be thankful for, there isn't any way I could list them all. Know that if you aren't on this list, it isn't because I'm not thankful, its just because I don't have the space to write it all in one week. Everything that people have done for me and for those who have prayed for me, it is helping. Thank you!

1. I am thankful that my sister in law Sherry took me "out" on Friday. Jimmy had the two younger girls at a hockey game and I had just planned to drop McKayla off for a sleep over with Gabriel and she surprised me by asking if I wanted to go out. We went to Applebees and enjoyed some appetizers and sodas. It was a great time for us to talk and just have "girl time." I think we might be making this a more regular thing.

2. I am thankful for my friend Erika and her new bible study group. We are starting off with a book called The Normal Christian Life. Erika was even kind enough to lend me a copy and make sure that I knew I could bring the girls with me. I really can't wait to start branching out a bit and meeting new people. I have been here two years and this will be the first non church, non family thing I have done. Okay, I did join Mom's Run This Town (I'm part of the Nampa, Idaho chapter), so I guess this is the second.

3. I am thankful for my friend Peggy. I am thankful that she is willing to take a chance on cosigning for me for my new home. Without her, we wouldn't have a place to move. Peggy has such a heart for God and people. She loves to help others. I pray that she realizes how thankful I am and that I am doing everything in my power to make it so she never had to even worry about paying on my behalf.

4. I am thankful for my friend Melissa. She has not only sent me two packages with books to read (among other things) but has also lifted me up in her prayers. Often she sends me a message just to check and see how I'm doing. The books she has sent me are ones that will help me on my journey to healing and help to draw closer to Him.

5. I am thankful for Robin. She is really like a second mom to me. Has been there my entire life and never made me feel less then special. I am really grateful that even though she is going through her own difficult time, that she has been praying for me. Not only that, but she is constantly posting pictures to my facebook wall or sending me messages of encouragement. It seems they always appear when I need them most (divine intervention perhaps?) Although she isn't alone in doing this for me, her's seem to be appearing with more frequency then other peoples. I appreciate every single one.

    1. Glad I have lots of supportive friends. Even those who aren't close geographically, they are close in other ways.

    1. Amen to that. It is one of the reasons I do a thankful post weekly is so I can remind myself of all the wonderful people and things I have been blessed with. It's especially therapeutic during this difficult time in my life.
