Thankful Tuesday

God has blessed me so much! On Tuesdays I make it a point to try and list at least five things (or people) I am thankful for. I think that by expressing what I am thankful for, I can keep it in the forefront of my mind to be intentionally grateful and give thanks for what I have been given or what has been done for me. As most of you know, I am in the midst of a separation. This last weekend was spent moving into our new home. Most of what I am thankful for right now revolves around that.

1. I am thankful that I was able to find a place that I could afford on my own that is still in the same school area my girls were already in.

2. I am thankful for the friends who were so willing to jump in and help me move. Not only the ones who physically helped, but also those who were supportive via email, text and facebook. This isn't an easy time for me, but with the people I am surrounded with, it makes it that much easier.

3. I am thankful for my friends Angel and Josh. Not only did they help me move, even though Angel had to work that night. I am also thankful that they were willing to keep an eye on my girls at church so that I could go meet the plummer at the old house.

4. This might make me sound crazy, but I am thankful for Jimmy. I am grateful that he is making this easier on the girls by being here for them. I am also grateful that he was willing to help me hook up the TV and stuff. I think I might need to take lessons so I don't have to call all the time for help.

5. I am thankful for our new pastors at church. It was really, really hard losing the ones we had, but they have been so wonderful already that I know they will be a great fit for us.
