Scripture focus: John 7:25-52
They thought they knew what Jesus was going to look like. They thought they knew who he was and where he would come from. John 7:34, they only understood it in a physical sense. We say that we would follow Him without the doubts but we know the ending. They didn't know what was on. By the time Jesus came, they had a lot of traditions. Water was very symbolic because it was so plentiful. Everyone was offered water. The stream of living water is a stream because it shows that it is always fresh and always pure. In Jesus' time, the people were always either hot for him or wanted to kill him. There was no middle ground. Just like today there isn't a middle ground. Jesus calls us to be "all in" for him. We can't "sit on the bench" because the devil owns the bench. If we aren't 100%, all in for God, what's the point? We need to walk out the church door and live like we are supposed to be living. If we aren't, we are sitting on the bench. We need to be all in or not in at all.
What is He asking me to give up for him? What do I need to remove from my life to be 100% in for Jesus?
All that I am, all I can be
All that I have, all that is me.
Accept and use Lord, As you would choose Lord
Right now today
Take every passion, every skill.
Take all my dreams and bend them to your will.
My all I give Lord, for you I'll live Lord
Come what may.
