Another week, another opportunity for me to count my blessings. Here are five things I am thankful for:
- I am thankful that my grandpa is improving. I got word yesterday that he was in the ICU for a low blood pressure and low oxygen levels. He had been sick with a flu-like bug.
- I am thankful for my friends and family, they made my birthday so special just with texts and calls and facebook posts.
- I am thankful for the drug rep breakfasts that we get once in awhile. It makes for a nice change of pace for breakfast and no charge!
- I am thankful for my coworkers who made my birthday at work special. I got ice cream cake and a funny card. It was wonderful!
- I am thankful for Stephen who indulges me when I talk all the time about the books I'm reading. Hopefully I am as receptive when he talks about the things he loves.
1000 Gifts: Salty, sour, sweet
- It is a gift to have salt readily available to season our food. Can't imagine a world without it. It is also a good reminder that we are called to be the salt of the earth. Every time I use it, I think about that.
- It is a gift when my husband bringing me home sour patch kids as a treat for me.
- It is a gift when my sweet girls climb up in my lap begging to cuddle and have kisses. I know this won't last forever so I am trying really hard to enjoy it.
