- They request hugs and kisses before they leave, often more then one.
- They want to cuddle with me on the couch.
- They like spending time with me, most of the time.
- They are excited to see me both on the day they come home from dads or even just when I come home from work.
- They make me all kinds of "art projects"
- They want to show me what they have been doing at school.
- They want me to meet their friends.
I know there will come a day when they don't do these kind of things, so I am going to do my best to enjoy them while I can!

1000 Gifts: A gift picked up, put away, put back
- it is a gift to have my amazing husband let me know that he picked up around the house today. Just makes me smile knowing that he knows I appreciate it.
- it is a gift to be able to put away my work at the end of the night and know that I did it well.
- it is a gift to put back some kindness into the world. Help teach my girls that the world is not all bad.
My son is 16 and is often off doing is own thing but, when I come home from work, all he wants to do is talk to me and tell me about his day. First though, he asks how my day was - LOVE!
ReplyDeleteThat's so fun. I'm glad he still does that. I remember being sixteen and I don't know that I talked to my mom a whole lot. What I wouldn't give to be able to go back and do it again.
DeleteThey sound like great kids :)
ReplyDeleteAwww, I love that age when they're still so affectionate. I plan to force hugs on my kids for the rest of their lives whether they like it or not. :)
ReplyDeleteAren't kids the best? I just love them.
ReplyDeleteThey really are! Making me laugh when I need it most.
