My Ten Happy Things

Linking up with Mama Kat again this week for writers workshop. If you want to learn more about it, click the link at the bottom of this post. The prompt I chose this week is: List ten things that make you HAPPY. I am going to focus on THINGS because that's what it said. Not people even though there are quite a number of people who make me happy.

1. Sunny days that are just right for playing outside
2. Colorful flowers 
3. Anytime someone gives me a present
4. The smell of campfire or bbq wafting through the neighborhood. 
5. Funny cartoons on facebook, especially when a friend sends me one specifically. The one to the right here made me laugh especially hard. 
6. Hearing someone talk about how I made a difference in their life. 
7. Hearing stories about my mom. Any stories. Even the ones where she was ridiculous! 
8. Being able to scare someone. Not bad, just jumping out and going "boo" and getting them or sneaking up on them. Not sure why but it makes me really happy. 
9. When someone is picking on me because they love me. It's a different kind of picking and I love it (most of the time!) 
10. A nicely sharpened pencil. I don't use em often, but when I do I love seeing that nice sharp tip to use!

• His grace. I think I say that every time, but it is so amazing to me. 
• His love. He loved me from before I existed. 
• His understanding. What other God has walked this earth, been through what we go through? None. Christ is the only God who stepped down to earth to be among us. He then died to save us. It's amazing.
