Thankful Tuesday

I'm back! A short break for the holiday and a few days to recover from the unwelcome Christmas cold I got and I am back to blogging. No apologies here because you all know that life happens. Here are five things I am thankful for this week:

1. I am thankful for the health of my children. We got notice over the Christmas break that one of their classmates lost his battle with leukemia. Heartbreaking to imagine losing my child but things like this make me all the more grateful for my healthy girls. 
2. I am thankful for safe travels to Oregon and home. We had one time where we did a spin on the slippery road but thankfully we didn't hit anything, just slid into the snow embankment. Also very thankful that there were some truck drivers (pulled over to chain up) who helped us out of the snow drift. 
3. I am thankful for the family and friends who made this Christmas and the trip amazing. My girls were beyond spoiled and had so much fun. 
4. I am thankful for a caring bunch of co-workers. I had one specifically who even texted to ask me if I had made it safely to Oregon. Really touched my heart to have her express that she cared so much. 
5. I am thankful for the beautiful views I got to see during our trip. Reminds me what an awesome God we have. That He created all of this for us.
