I have hidden your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you. It's a scripture I know, unfortunately not the address, but the words matter. I want to hide God's word in my heart. So deeply hidden that no one can take it from me. I want these gems of wisdom from his word in my heart, in the forefront of my mind. When you read something, you get it stuck in your head. When you study something, you learn it, hopefully it embeds itself in your heart. There are verses for every occasion. Frequently I think of Jeremiah 29:11: for I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord. Plans to prosper you and not for harm, plans for a hope and a future. Did you read that? He has a plan for me. Praying that His will is shown in my life. Praying that the words I have hidden in my heart show through the way I live my life. The words might be hidden in my heart, but the action that spreads from that knowledge will be apparent to all. My children are learning memory verses at church. Such a gift to them because these will be the verses that stick with them as they grow. What have you hidden in your heart?
